The answer is Blessed Sacrament School, located just over the mountain at 21 Westfield Road in Holyoke. This past fall, forty-three students from the former Notre Dame-Immaculate Conception School in Easthampton were welcomed into the Blessed Sacrament School community. Beth Dietz, a former NDIC parent, is pleased with her decision to enroll her two daughters at Blessed Sacrament School. Everyone is so warm and welcoming-the families, the teachers, and the staff. Blessed Sacrament School has been a blessing for us. It is a tremendous opportunity for any family interested in Catholic education for their children. And, it's so close to home!
Principal Anne Heston worked diligently with the staff to ensure a smooth transition for the former NDIC students. The addition of so many new families has truly enhanced our school community. The parents are active, supportive and involved. The students have blended in beautifully. They seem delighted to be part of the Blessed Sacrament School family and we are happy that they feel at home here.
Sister of St. Joseph Susan Swasey - who teaches Grades 6, 7, and 8 Mathematics-appreciates the different perspectives brought by the former NDIC students. The new students have enriched us. They have added a new and positive dynamic to our school.
Julie Guarente, a student in Grade 3 who has been at Blessed Sacrament since Kindergarten, is happy to have made some new friends. The new students are all very nice. They are all fun to play with. At first they were a little bit scared, but as they got used to Blessed Sacrament they became more comfortable.
